01. YANGON CITY TOUR

Welcome meeting by our staff at the airport (or at your hotel).

We start our tour in the morning with a scenic walk among the magnificent colonial buildings and the new skyscrapers, a symbol of the recent economic progress of the country.

We continue to Kandawgyi Park where we enjoy the beautiful view of the Karaweik barge, the sumptuous palace built in the 70s on a royal barge.

We then visit the Bogyoke Aung San Market, or “Scott Market” one of the largest bazaars in Yangon, where over 2000 traders sell souvenirs, clothing, precious stones and traditional handicrafts.

Visit the 3rd-century Sule Pagoda, now part of the city’s economy.

The day ends with the visit to the famous Shwedagon Pagoda, the most scared in Myanmar. The massive bell of the stupa is gold-plated while the very top is tipped with diamonds, rubies, sapphires and topazes.

Afterwards, transfer to your hotel or to the airport.
