TRIP OVERVIEW

The Yangon and South Coast, Dawei and Maungmagan itinerary covers an area that is still off the beaten track: the southwest coast of Myanmar.

Explore Dawei, the quiet tropical town, once an important trading port, now known for its beautiful beaches.

Check out Maungmagan beach, a reference point for visiting the other beaches in the area: Tizit beach, Myinkhur Aww beach and Grandfather beach, the longest beach on the peninsula, with white sand, crystal clear water and still no tourist accommodation.

Enjoy snorkelling at the Moscos Islands, a small archipelago and wildlife sanctuary in the Andaman Sea, only accessible to visitors since 2015. The islands are still uninhabited except for a few nomadic groups of local fishermen, and are home to a rich fauna including swallows, which come here to nest, and several species of turtle.

This suggested itinerary can be customised according to your travel needs as well as combined with other routes.
