TRIP OVERVIEW

A two-day tour to the glorious capital city of Angkor. This itinerary is planned to highlight the historical and artistic aspect of the place and to delve back into the evolution of the Khmer Kingdom.

Explore the Banteay Srei temple, also called the “Citadel of Women“. This site is a must-see, it is known for the elegance and prestige of its carvings on pink sandstone.

Admire the grandeur of Angkor Wat, the largest religious structure in the world and the quaint Ta Prohm temple, surrounded by the massive roots of centuries-old banyan trees.

Marvel at the majesty of Bayon temple, known for the 216 giant stone faces which jut out from the 54 towers and stroll over Elephant Terrace where the Throne Room once stood.

Along the way we visit other important historical sites such as Phimeanakas temple and the Leeper King Terrace.

This itinerary can be customised based on your actual travel needs and can be extended and combined to other tours.

ITINERARY

01. angkor archeological site

Prasad Kravan Vishnu carving – Prasat Kravan temple

Welcome meeting with our staff upon arrival at the airport and transfer to the hotel.

We begin our visit in the afternoon to the archaeological site following a chronological path to learn the historical and artistic achievements of the Khmer Kingdom.

We explore Prasad Kravan, the complex dedicated to the Hindu cult known for the impressive and unique brick sculpture of the deity Vishnu.

After Prasad Kravan it’s off to the Banteay Srei temple, also known as the “Citadel of Women”. It is considered the “jewel of Angkor” for the artistic refinement of the bas-reliefs carved on pink sandstone.

On the way back to Siem Reap, we stop at Pre Rup, the “Temple Mountain” dedicated to the God Shiva.

We then head back to the hotel in Siam Reap.

02. angkor archeological site

Ta Phrom temple

After breakfast we begin the journey to Angkor Wat temple, the largest religious building in the world built on an area of 2 million square meters. Then there is Ta Prohm temple, one of the most enchanting and popular tourist sights, surrounded by huge roots of hundred-year-old banyan trees.

During the afternoon we visit the temples complex of “The Great City” Angkor Thom, where Bayon temple stands out for his distinctive feature: 216 giant stone faces which jut out from the 54 towers.

The day ends with a visit to the Terrace of the Elephants, the Terrace of the Leper King and the Phimeanakas temple.

Afterwards, transfer to the airport in time for your departure.
